Location
This hideaway village and its sandy beach are reached by road in 1.5 hour from Nusa dua. A short boat ride then takes you to the dive sites.
Padang bay offers some of the best diving in Bali. Shark are seen on almost every dive, ocean sunfish are regularly spotted, fish life is exceptionally rich, the coral is healthy and the water is crystal clear. Padang Bay dive sites have strong currents and swell coming from Lombok Strait, creating unpredictable water movements. This is place to both careful and respectful.
High lights
Bright white sand and colorful corals are home to everything from the smallest reef fishes to all manner of marine life; Rays, Cuttlefish, Crocodile Fish, and frequent Shark &Turtle sightings.
Conditions
Much more gentle & protected than the islands of the East Coast, and for this reason with much warmer waters too.
Blue Lagoon
Near Padang Bai,the shallow reefs of Blue Lagoon are used for introductory dive,night dive and long photo excursions. Patches of staghorn coral reef start in only 3m of water,then the reef opens out into an area with hug coral bommies,soft leather corals and flowing anemones. The delicate tips of the well-developed plate corals here are beautiful,tinged with purple and blue. This is also a good area for macro buffs,with rumors of a Rhinopias or lacey scorpion fish,being seen here.
